Why I want to meet Michael Ballack
To be honest, until today, I had never heard of him (I am not much of a football follower)...it seems I may meet him very soon. We shall see…

He arrived in Paris on the morning TGV from Geneva. I kissed him, of course, completely forgetting that he is a California boy…
I think he has since gotten over the shock=)
She offered to share her umbrella as we got caught in a sudden rainstorm in the shadows of Notre Dame. We took refuge in a cafe for cocoa and conversation, and when the rain let up spent the evening on a couch on the banks of the Seine, looking at the lights on the Eiffel Tower.
Tissi is amazing. Really, she is, I’m not just saying that. She is very wise…going through a lot makes a person that way. Sometimes people are bitter and judgemental when they go through little things and feel “picked on” by life…not our Tiisi! She knows how to survive the really big stuff, so the little stuff is in perspective for her.
She takes what she needs from life’s experiences and leaves the rest behind…realizing that not all others have survived as much as she has, so they might not have the same perspective.
She is a wealth of knowledge, understanding, compassion, and at the same time, she doesn’t take any crap. I like that, she is a perfect balance, in my opinion=)
She has her own principals, but never imposess them on others. I think that is her finest quality.
Having her for a friend makes life richer, keeps us in check, and helps us grow individually…friends like that should be treated as rare treasures…
Tiisi is a diamond, not in the rough ( though I suspect she was at one time since, after all, all diamonds begin as a lump of coal) She is beautifully faceted, set in the finest refined gold, and always there waiting to adorn her friends in splendour.
Because she loves red, nutmeg, eats flowers and spends hours in libraries reading about alligators. In other words, she is a perfectly well-rounded person.
I am looking forward to visiting her boot, very soon. I wonder if she will manage to keep me out of trouble, or if we will get into some? hmmmmmmmm…that’s the thing about hanging out with Italians, you can get into all sorts of trouble, and not even realized you have until you make your way back to France=)
This is going to be fun=)
